Semiahmoo First Nation is proud to welcome community members, neighbours, and visitors to Semiahmoo Park on Friday, June 19, for a special National Indigenous Peoples Day celebration centered on cultural sharing, community connection, and Indigenous pride.
This year’s event marks the return of the celebration to Semiahmoo lands and offers an opportunity to gather in a meaningful way while honouring the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Indigenous Peoples.
From 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, guests will enjoy an afternoon and evening filled with live music, cultural sharing, an Indigenous fashion show, an Indigenous marketplace featuring artists and makers, children’s activities, storytelling, and opportunities to learn from and connect with Indigenous culture in a welcoming environment.
The event will feature live performances by Indigenous artists, a fashion showcase by Section 35 and Semiahmoo First Nation artists, and a vibrant marketplace highlighting the work of Indigenous entrepreneurs and artisans from throughout the region.
The event is free and open to the public.
