Join the 7th edition of MENA Film Festival! Screening in Vancouver January 15 – 23, MENA 2026 presents over 40 shorts and features from everywhere MENA/SWANA folks are found. The expanded Opening Ceremony opens at the Vancouver Playhouse and regular screenings return to their longtime home at VIFF Centre!
For its 7th edition, MENA Film Festival presents something tender during turbulent times. This year, they focus on Love. Some films focus on romantic intimacy and the longing, heartbreak and comedy that comes along with it. Other films explore the platonic and familial bonds that we are born with or create over time. For the community, it is impossible to discuss the idea of love and not mention a love of home and a right to land sovereignty. As part of this year’s program, the festival has added films that explore the good and complicated relationships we have with our homelands.
Can’t join in-person? With a few exceptions, all in-person films will be streaming online until January 30!
