The Grandparents Day Picnic is a day to celebrate everything our grandparents do for us, especially kinship caregivers. These are the grandparents who are unexpectedly parenting for a second time while facing their own health and aging needs, as well as financial challenges. This day is to honour and appreciate them!
On this day, you can enjoy a delicious FREE meal from the Yo-Bones BBQ Food Truck (while supplies last) and take in a musical performance from your favorite local rock band, Rainshadow, who will be playing rock covers of songs from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 00’s.
You can expect plenty of family-friendly fun at the Grandparents Day Picnic. Just head on over to Slocan Park with all your picnic gear and prepare to enjoy the sunshine and good vibes with everyone around you!
