Get ready for an adrenaline-filled Labour Day weekend in Langley as the Valley West Stampede rides back into town. Partnering with the Langley Riders Society and fully sanctioned by the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA), this event brings some of the best professional riders in the country to compete for $15,000 in prize money across four electrifying events: bareback riding, ladies’ barrel racing, saddle bronc, and bull riding.
The family-friendly fun doesn’t stop there — the crowd-favourite mutton busting competition for kids will have everyone cheering, plus you can catch the Wildrose Trick Riders delivering jaw-dropping stunts. New this year, All Star Wrestling will kick things off daily at 12:30 pm before the rodeo action begins.
After the dust settles, stick around for the post-show DJ and live music from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm (until 8:00 pm on Monday), plus a beer garden, food trucks, and plenty of local vendors. With free parking at the George Preston Arena and accessible facilities on-site, the Valley West Stampede is set to be one of the biggest community celebrations of the summer.
