Port Coquitlam’s popular Parade of Lights is returning for its second year! This dazzling performance is bringing an expanded and even more vibrant holiday celebration to downtown Port Coquitlam, showcasing a procession of decorated vehicles from the entire community.
You can expect to see City vehicles, community organizations, local businesses, and walking groups all dressed in festive lights. Be sure to keep your eye out for a special appearance from Santa Claus himself!
The parade begins at 5:00pm at Port Coquitlam Community Centre and will travel:
- West on Kelly Avenue
- North on Shaughnessy Street
- East on McAllister Avenue
- South on Mary Hill Road
- And then return to Kelly Avenue
Attendees will also be able to enjoy many pre and post-parade activities. Thanks to Northstar Development, before the parade, you can indulge in:
- Complimentary hot cocoa
- Photos with Santa
- A walk-in snow globe experience
- An inflatable Santa sleigh photo-op
- Winter-themed games
- The NorthStar Express mini holiday train travelling between Leigh Square and Veterans Park
Afterwards, don’t forget to hang around to have some more hot chocolate, festive treats, and do some holiday-themed arts and crafts in the Mabbett Hall. A free public skate will also be available from 6:00pm-7:00pm!
