Lights of Hope Final Celebration
Lights of Hope is an annual light display that raises funds for essential medical equipment, research, and enhancing the quality of care across St. Paul’s Foundation’s hospitals and long-term care homes. In almost three decades, the event has raised nearly $60 million.

“Your gifts fill essential gaps that aren’t fully funded through traditional channels and improve health outcomes for hundreds of thousands of patients and residents from across BC,” writes the website. “Giving to Lights of Hope means illuminating the path for people in need during their hardest times and supporting caregivers who offer unwavering care and compassion to patients, residents, and their families.”

2026 will be Lights of Hope’s final season on Burrard as the foundation prepares to open its doors to the new St. Paul’s Hospital in early 2027. Once it’s open, the celebration will transition over to the other location on the Jim Pattison Medical Campus.
The event kicks off on November 12 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Attendees can expect beautiful lights, live music, festive treats, and even a fireworks show! The countdown begins between 6:30 and 7:00pm, so be sure to swing by around then to catch the sights.
If you can’t make it to the kick-off event, don’t worry. You can still catch the dazzling displays from November 12 through the holidays at St. Paul’s Hospital.
