YVR Nominated For Best Bathroom In Canada

YVR Nominated For Best Bathroom In Canada

Cintas Canada is currently accepting nominations for the country’s best washroom facilities. Each year, Canada’s most noteworthy “places to go” are identified and then voted upon by the Internet public in the battle of the bowls.

The contest is open to any non-residential restroom in Canada that is accessible to the general public. Entries are judged on cleanliness, visual appeal, innovation, functionality and unique design elements. In 2013, the winner was the Valleyview Shell Super Station in Alberta, which featured solid alder wood doors with privacy glass panels, sleek granite countertops, ornate carved mirrors and sparkling Victorian style semi-flush mount chandeliers.

The competition has been narrowed down to five bathrooms across the nation. Representing the 604 is YVR!

Located in the C-Pier, Domestic Terminal of YVR, travelers find a clean, modern place to freshen up during their journeys. The washroom walls are covered in shades of blue, red, and yellow mosaic tiles and wave-shaped blue flooring winds down the curved corridor leading guests to their choice of bathroom stalls. White tile surrounds the hands-free sinks and towel dispensers, creating a cohesive and modern atmosphere that is sure to leave a lasting impression.

YVR is currently competing against Patria (Toronto), Calgary Zoo, Planet Hollywood (Ontario), and Shaw Club Hotel & Spa (Ontario). (View images of all competing bathrooms HERE)
