WTF: Luongo & Schneider Traded To Chicago For Patrick Kane

Our Canucks insider has just provided us with a inside conversation from GM Mike Gillis’s office this morning.

Just this passed Saturday, the Canucks took on the Oilers and had their lights shot out at the hands of Taylor Hall. Both Schneider & Luongo allowed in 2 goals a piece in under 9 minutes of play in the first period. Disgusted, and with the trade deadline breathing down his neck, we knew Gillis had to trade one of our goaltenders but according to multiple NHL insiders, the GM has sent both the goaltenders packing to our beloved foes: the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for Patrick Kane.

This trade brings shock with a mix of excitement to the Vancouver Canucks and our city. It was expected Lu would be the one to go, but with an unbelievable offer, it was hard for Gillis to say no. Patrick Kane was the first overall pick in the 2007 NHL draft and a Stanley Cup champion in 2010. He brings confidence, and the goal-scoring edge the Canucks are in dying need for. AV is yet to comment.

Stay tuned for more updates as the story develops, on this beautiful day of April 1st...
