The Whitecaps are going to have to wait another week to clinch the Western Conference.
Vancouver (15W-11L-7D) settled for a 1-1 tie with the San Jose Earthquakes (12W-14L-7D) Sunday evening at BC Place.
Yordy Reyna came up big once again for the Whitecaps scoring his sixth goal of the season in the 29th minute. He received a beautiful cross from rookie Jake Nerwinski, tapping it in past San Jose.

Andrew Tarbell stopped a number of scoring chances from Vancouver, keeping the game close for his team.

However, in the 77th minute, the visitors broke through.
Valeri Qazaishvili received the ball in the box after a cheeky pass off Chris Wondlowski’s back heel. He calmly scored putting the game in a 1-1 tie.
