The victory against Minnesota was the Whitecaps third straight win, putting the rest of the conference on notice.
The team seems to be hitting their stride finally after an early rough start to the season.
Moreover, it’s also important to note that Whitecaps coach Carl Robinson made five changes to his starting lineup. He put in Marcel de Jong, Russell Teibert, wingers Alphonso Davies and Shea, and Hurtado.
High Octane Scoring
With an explosive lineup to begin, Vancouver broke the ice five minutes into the match. Reyna masterfully controlled a long pass from de Jong, netting his fourth of the year.
In the 31st minute, Hurtado finished off a pass from Shea, pushing the ball past the line with his chest.
Fans and everyone watching the game at home knew the game was in good hands, but a little bit of extra insurance never hurts. Shea potted Vancouver’s third goal of the match in the 88th minute.
