Sorry folks, but there’s more bad news surrounding the iconic White Rock Pier.

White Rock RCMP are asking for the public’s help to find a bronze plaque that was stolen from the east side of the White Rock Pier.

According to police, the plaque is believed to have been taken on or prior to August 15th, 2019.

Earlier this week, the Pier re-opened to the public for the first time since it was destroyed by a powerful storm last year.

Built originally in 1977, the Pier’s weak state was evident after the December 2018 storm. As a result, numerous upgrades have been made to improve fortification.
