This was a big week for Vancouver, in terms of development news. Approval for a 2-storey standalone Apple flagship store was passed this week, and two big supermarkets with a unique, South-Asian focus opened their doors for business.

This week also saw Fortune 500 company Fujitsu select Vancouver to be the home of their global artificial intelligence HQ. Amazon also announced that they are opening Canada’s first Cloud Innovation Centre, at UBC. This continues a recent trend of Silicon Valley companies moving up here to Vancouver, so we here at 604 Now thought it would be nice to put together a list of world-renowned tech companies that you may or may not have known were in Vancouver. NBA champion and former Toronto Raptor Danny Green was in town this week. His trip got off to a rough start, though, as a few of his bags were stolen from his car.
