Vancouver Police Need Public’s Help To Find Missing 74-Year-Old Jiri Zambach

UPDATE: Vancouver Police report that 74-year-old Jiri Zambach returned home and is safe.

Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s help to find a missing elderly man with dementia. 74-year-old Jiri Zambach has not been seen or heard from since 10:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22nd.

According to police, he was last seen close to his home on Kingsway near Tyne Street. Likewise, he may appear confused and requires daily medication.

Mr. Zambach walks with a slight limp and is known to visit Vancouver’s Stanley Park and Burnaby’s Central Park.

He is described as white, 5’9″ tall, has a medium build and short blond hair. Mr. Zambach was last seen wearing a blue coat, grey/beige sweatpants, white sneakers and was carrying a beige canvas bag. In addition, he may be wearing a black toque or a beige fedora.

If anyone sees Jiri Zambach, please call 911 immediately and stay with him until police arrive.
