Vancouver Landmarks Will Light Up In Red During Olympic Games

The 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Games kick off on February 9 and Vancouver is getting into the Olympic spirit.

Between February 9 and 25, Vancouver will shows its support for Canadian athletes by lighting up Vancouver City Hall, Queen Elizabeth Theatre, and the Burrard Street Bridge in red. Don’t be surprised if you also see the Olympic Cauldron light up during the opening and closing of the games.

Canada will be sending 225 athletes and 87 coaches to the Pyeongchang Olympic, marking the largest-ever delegation for a Winter Games.

Among others, local athlete and VPD officer Meghan Agosta will be representing our city and playing for the Canadian hockey team. Agosta has taken time off from the force to train and will serve as an assistant captain for the team.
