Vancouver Dispensary Offering Marijuana Without Doctor’s Note

Shoppers Drug Mart

Non-licensed marijuana dispensaries are continuing to take the fight to the City of Vancouver, but one shop has come out swinging.

According to CTV, Dana Larsen, owner of Vancouver Dispensary Society said his business is opting to sell marijuana to adults who don’t have a doctor’s note.

“They have to have ID to show us they are over 19 and that’s the only requirement,” Larsen told CTV.

The move comes as the City of Vancouver continues to issue court ordered closure notices and fines to marijuana dispensaries situated within Vancouver.

Like dozens of others, the pot activist has not received a permit from the city and has been ordered to shut down his dispensary.

Larsen mentioned that the Vancouver Dispensary Society sells about $10,000 of pot per day, and the business has no plans of shutting down.

While the sales are illegal, the Vancouver Police Department has reportedly had a difficult time enforcing the law.

Dana Larsen is a well known pro-marijuana figure in the community, and recently mailed marijuana to Liberal MPs. He’s also the author of a book that showcases the history of marijuana in Canada.
