That time of the year has come Vancouver! The highly anticipated Celebration of Light fireworks show is back, and will be taking over the night sky over English Bay waters!
Every year, 400,000 plus, Vancouverites gather round to take a part in the world’s largest offshore fireworks competition! This year, three international teams will be battling it out in the night sky for the best fireworks performance! The teams will be Italy, Brazil and Vietnam.
Quick look at the schedule (all shows start at 10pm):
Saturday July 28th: Vietnam
Wednesday August 1st: Brazil
Saturday August 4th: Italy
The Celebration of Lights is more than just a fireworks competition, for Vancouverites, it’s a time to gather around in various Vancouver locations, embrace each other’s company, all while listening to awesome street music, tasting delicious street food, attending restaurant events or checking out vendor villages. Basically, Vancouver gets turned into a giant party!
Be sure to arrive early if you’re going to be watching from English Bay Beach, Stanley Park, Kitsilano Beach or Sunset Beach, as spots fill up quick on the Vancouver sands!
