The Vancouver Police Department just released their annual list of the top ten most stolen vehicles in the city, and some of them may surprise you.
While thieves find ways to steal just about any type of vehicle, this year’s list highlights a notable trend. Indeed, the most of the stolen vehicles were older cars; many of them were over 20 years old.
At the top of the list was the Honda Civic, but those manufactured before 2000. In second place came the Honda Accord, but again the older variety of models made prior to 1996. In third was the Jeep Cherokees manufactured before 2000.
With that in mind, there were two notable exceptions. The Ford F-150XLT came in fourth and that didn’t depend on the year. Likewise, the Toyota Corolla came in seventh and the year was irrelevant.
