You might want to think twice before getting into a taxi after a night of partying and heavy drinking.
B.C. taxi passengers who throw up inside the vehicle will now have an extra charge of $75 added to the cost of their trip.

The Passenger Transportation Board has revealed that in addition to approved metered or non-metered rates, taxi passengers in British Columbia will have to pay for “soiling a vehicle.”
Passengers who soil or damage the interior of a vehicle with bodily fluids or solids may be required by driver or taxi company to pay a clean-up fee of $75 in addition to the meter rate or any other rate, says a memo dated July 16, 2014.
The $75.00 fee is made up of cleaning costs and the money lost by not working while the vehicle gets cleaned.
It will be up to cab companies to enforce the fee. Other major cities in Canada also have fees for throwing up in a taxi. In Toronto it’s $25, Ottawa $50, and in Calgary it’s a whopping $100.
