By now we have started new routines, back into the non-vacation mode, and even planning what to do for some “R & R” on the weekends.

Visit the Richmond Night Market A Final Time

The Richmond Night Market has run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday this summer and is coming to an end this Sunday with a special lantern festival. You will need to purchase tickets online through their app to check it out. There will be vendor stalls as well as a bunch of new foods to try.

Be Amazed At The Moon and Back Gallery

An impressive immersive experience just reopened in Richmond and it is absolutely stunning. The Moon and Back Gallery has a series of rooms with augmented virtual reality. The experience will make you smile, bring your pictures to life, and is truly out of this world.

Check Out A Neighbourhood Pop-Up Pub

Vancouver is hosting a pop-up patio this fall with downtown neighbourhood pubs for adults only. The patios will feature drinks, art, and plenty of food. Festivities will take place for nine days total, and end on September 18.

Drop By North Vancouver’s Shipyards Fest

Shipyards Live was a brand new summer series with 16 days of excitement that has taken place all summer. Located at North Vancouver’s popular Shipyards, this event will end on September 18. The cost for the event is totally free, and festivities will take place throughout the day until 10:00 p.m. each night.

Try To Catch See Early Glimpses of The Harvest Full Moon

Fall is just around the corner. With that comes the Harvest Full Moon, which will light up the night sky like no other. The full Harvest Moon is expected to rise after sunset on Monday, September 20, however you may be able to see a bright moon this weekend, with it reaching full illumination on Monday.

Attend A Block Party

The Monstercat Block Party will be taking place this Saturday in Vancouver, for free. In addition to live music, fans will be able to enjoy food trucks beer gardens, street artists decorating giant wooden Monstercats, the Monstercat Street Piano, education panels on career-building and NFTs (sponsored by MusicBC), an air-brushed tattoo station by JCI, and a gaming zone.

Come Together at The 5X Festival

The 5X Fest Blockparty 2021 will be held September 17-19 at The Beaumont Studios in Vancouver. This indoor/outdoor location is perfect for rain or shine and will spotlight over 25 South Asian artists and creators from various genres that will #ComeTogether. Take Part in the Terry Fox Run

This annual event takes place on Saturday September 19th. You can take part this year from wherever you are. Around your neighbourhood, backyard, down the street or around the block. What started as murmurs surrounded by a hint of secrecy, a new hidden lounge opened last month, and it is one worth checking out—if you have the password that is. Vancouver Chinatown’s Laowai brings that seductive time period back with its new cocktail and dim-sum parlour. It is inspired by a time where there were false storefronts and speakeasies, which required passwords for entry in cities like Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Unleash your inner Harry Potter and experience this unique wizard-themed bar which has just started. The Wizard’s Den will have you creating boozy potions of your own and learning how to “perfect your brew.” The location is hidden to the public so you will need to get tickets to enjoy the secrets of being a boozy wizard.

Fall may be around the corner, but there are still some beautiful days ahead. There are only slight chances of showers this weekend, with the sun possibly peaking through on Saturday. However, a little bit of rain never kept a true Vancouverite from their nature.  Here are some easy hikes you can try out.

Experience A Sea Of Lavender

This new lavender farm has 7 acres covered in a variety of different lavenders. Starting this month, they will also be hosting a free artisan market every weekend from 11 am – 5 pm. Lavenders are also known to have medicinal and calming qualities, which would make the visit extra enjoyable after a stressful year. Tickets are currently on sale, and they are open daily until October.

Cambie Street Bridge has a new digital and artistic makeover that is a true combination of art and technology. The underside of the bridge has been transformed into the digital world of Voxel Bridge. This is Vancouver Biennale’s latest public art work installation. Using augmented reality (AR) and blockchain technology the space will become an interactive 3-D world.

Watch a Movie on the Big Screen

Fall is a perfect time to hit the movie theatres with some buttery popcorn. There is are some blockbusters to watch out for, including the latest Marvel hit Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
