Surrey will officially kick off their Christmas season on November 23 as the city is being called to gather and celebrate the Surrey Christmas Tree Lighting Festival 2013.
This years event will be headlined by pop singer Victoria Duffield and folk band Good For Grapes. The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 6:00pm, and the tree will be lit up at 6:15pm.
The free family event will run from 12pm – 8 pm and include:
- A Ferris wheel
- Food trucks
- Ice carving
- Road hockey
- Letters to Santa
- Photos with Santa (Inside Central City Mall.)
The schedule for the main stage is as follows:
12:00pm – Norman Foote
2:00pm – Sweet Soul Gospel Choir
3:00pm – Dr. Strangelove
4:30pm – Good for Grapes
5:30pm – Sway: A Tribute to Michael Bublé
6:15pm – Tree lighting ceremony
7:30pm – Victoria Duffield
Visitors are encouraged to bring a can of food for the Surrey Food Bank or a donation for the Surrey Christmas Bureau.
