Starbucks Red Cups Return To Vancouver

Starbucks Red Cups Return To Vancouver

While it seems like it was only Halloween six hours ago, retailers are not wasting a minute and transforming their stores for the holiday season, with Starbucks leading the way.

On November 2, Starbucks unleashed their sea of red holiday cups in Vancouver along with new holiday items including Gingerbread Tea Latte, Holiday Ham, Cranberry & Egg Sandwich, and a new Christmas espresso blend, among others.

Returning favourites are also back, featuring Chestnut Praline Latte, Peppermint Mocha + Skinny Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brule Latte, Gingerbread Latte and the Eggnog Latte.

2015’s iconic red holiday cups features a two-toned ombré design, with a bright poppy color on top that shades into a darker cranberry below.

“We have anchored the design with the classic Starbucks holiday red that is bright and exciting,” said Jeffrey Fields, Starbucks vice president of Design & Content. “The ombré creates a distinctive dimension, fluidity and weightedness.”

Starbucks first introduced the red cup nearly two decades ago, when the company only had 1,400 stores worldwide. Today, the world’s most popular coffee chain operates in over 68 markets with 22,000 stores.
