Stanley Park Seawall Repairs Will Cost Up To $50,000

The Vancouver seawall will undergo up to $50,000 in repairs after a wild, wet weekend of waves crashing into the path around Stanley Park this past weekend.

The waves came crashing in on Friday and the city was forced to close the popular area to ensure safety of pedestrians and cyclists.

According to Brian Quinn, the Park Board’s manager of destination parks, crews assessed the damage to cost between $25,000 – $50,000 and take up to a week to repair.
