Four time NBA Champion and basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal is sending his love to Fort McMurray and thanking the firefighters and fire responders for their continuous hard work on fighting the aggressive wildfires.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You guys are the true heroes,” O’ Neal said in a video posted to his Facebook page. “Love you guys. Love Canada” he adds, before singing a mini-rendition of the Canadian national anthem.
The wild blaze has been ruthless for over a week, and has forced over 80,000 people from Fort McMurray to evacuate their homes. The fire is said to spread over 210,000 acres, which in comparison is nearly the size of Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, and Surrey combined.
