Got a craving for fried chicken and a cold beer? Turns out the Colonels got one too.
For the first time in its Canadian history, KFC Canada will launch “Fresh Outlets” which they describe as a “fast-casual” joint that serves beer – starting in Toronto.
So what’s on the menu at KFC Fresh Outlets? For starters, they plan on selling burritos, rice bowls, and spicy wraps in addition to their current menu. To help cool you down and in hopes you will stay a while, they will offer a great selection of beer including Molson Canadian, Coors Lite, Coors Banquet, and Heinaken. Domestic beer (Molson, Coors) will be priced at $4.29 whereas imported beer (Heinaken) will be priced at $5.29.
The first Fresh Outlet opened in December of 2013 and there are currently only two locations of its kind in Toronto. Both locations boost a patio which makes everything that much better.
If this concept is successful in Toronto, it’s only a matter of time until KFC takes it nation wide and brings it to Vancouver. If you’re wondering why they started the program in Toronto, it’s because the 416 has the largest KFC market in Canada with over 50 locations. The 604 currently has 27.
