That’s one strike too many for “The Zone” bowling alley in Richmond.

They previously closed the bowling alley down in the summer of 2015 due to a rental dispute, but they re-opened shortly after.

This time around, there’s no quick fix and it seems they have closed their doors for good. When searching for the once popular bowling alley, Google even lists it as being permanently closed.

It was the only 10-pin bowling alley in all of Richmond—located in the entertainment complex of the city next to the Famous Players theatre, Extreme Air Park and many other facilities.

The BRB Brewery & Eatery that was attached to the bowling alley has also closed down.

According to a note left on the business’s door—the owner had to file for bankruptcy after there was more than $55,000 in rent that was overdue.

While the pub wasn’t connected financially to “The Zone,” it was forced to shut down following the bowling alley’s demise.

The closure will likely have a huge impact on some Richmond residents and it will surely be missed as being a part of the Riverport entertainment hub.
