Full of colour, packed with flavour, a macaron is an indulgent treat for all to enjoy. Vancouver is home to many shops that carry the delicious French pastries in a variety of flavour combinations.
The Paris-based Laduree Macaron is known around the globe for their macarons, and it seems they are now expanding to Canada, with a location right on Robson Street.
They are currently setting up shop in between a Telus retailer and a Steve Madden store.
The new addition will likely cause some competition for other local retailers selling macarons, such as Bel Cafe, Thomas Haas, Soirette, Thierry, Faubourg, French Made Baking and Bon Macaron Patisserie.
While the company originated in Paris, they have locations in many other major cities all over the world, including New York, Tokyo, Sydney and Hong Kong. They’re best known for their double-decker macarons.
Vancouver can never have enough sweet treats–therefore Laduree’s infamous and decadent macarons will likely be a big hit, especially with its prime location.
