For the second time within three days, a heavy downpour of rain is expected in metro Vancouver and has led Environment Canada to issue a warning.
According to the alert, rainfall amounts near 50 mm are expected by this afternoon over eastern Metro Vancouver and western Fraser Valley as a moist, slow-moving Pacific front moves across the area.

The rain will taper to showers by this evening as the front moves to the east.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to keep an eye out for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
