On Friday, a video made its way across social media that shows a disturbing racist rant in Richmond.
A video of the incident shows a woman in the parking lot outside the Richlea Square Shopping Centre yelling at a family over a parking dispute.
As the video moves along, you’ll notice two cars parked facing each other have their front bumpers touching. One car had crossed over the white parking spot line, and the driver of the other car was angry to say the least.
“You don’t know a damn thing, go back to China where you belong,” says the driver, a Caucasian woman.
The woman continues to hurl racial slurs towards the family before getting into her car.
“”We hate you people, go back,” says the woman.
You can see a video of the full incident below:
At this moment, Richmond RCMP are aware of the video and are investigating the matter.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened. Back in July, a woman on the 95 B-line verbally assaulted a group of teenagers for apparently not speaking English.
[Update: Aug. 28]
The woman has since been identified as Carla Waldman, who spoke with CBC News. There is near-universal outrage.
Many people have since also flooded her Facebook page with comments denouncing her rant.
