The Pattullo Bridge is currently in the middle of a scheduled series of repairs and renovations that will be ongoing through October, 2016.
The repairs have the bridge currently operating with single lane traffic in each direction which has proven to be a disaster for driver during rush hour.
To make matters worse, Translink says there will be additional weekend closures in July.
The news follows a relatively wet month of June which delayed concrete pours. Crews also discovered the bridge deck will require further repairs.
According to Translink, the following dates and times below are scheduled for closures.
- 8 p.m. Monday, July 4 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 5
- 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 5 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, July 6
- 8 p.m. Friday, July 8 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 11 (full weekend closure)
- 8 p.m. Friday, July 15 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 18 (full weekend closure)
Additional dates could be added.
