Can’t make it to Los Angeles for E3 this year? Get yourself to Best Buy stores instead!
Nintendo won’t have a big presence at the annual E3 gaming trade show this year, but thankfully the company announced in their last Nintendo Direct presentation that they’re going to do something even cooler instead. The big N is teaming up with Best Buy to make demos of its upcoming games available to play in 110 stores across North America during the week of E3. This means that it won’t just be us industry insiders who get to try out the coolest games.
Nintendo hasn’t said exactly what games you’ll get to play, but rumors are swirling that you can expect the new 3D Mario platformer for Wii U and the next installment in the Mario Kart series, also for Wii U. Sonic: Lost World would probably be a safe bet, too. The demos’ identities will be confirmed on Tuesday, June 11. The games will be playable 4-8 p.m. local time on Wednesday, June 12, and 1-5 p.m. local time on Saturday, June 15. Please note that participating Best Buy stores are subject to change.
