New Membership Program Is The “Uber” For BC Gyms

GoodLife Fitness May Take Over Metro Vancouver Target Locations

As metro Vancouver’s fitness facilities become more competitive, gym members often face contracts and accessibility conflicts as to what gym locations they can visit with a pass.

Virtual Gym Club plans to address this issue with the launch of their new “Total Gym Pass” offering unlimited access to eleven gyms in the Lower Mainland through their “Uber” style platform.

As Uber provides on-demand service that connects individuals with independent drivers, the Total Gym Pass connects members with independent fitness facilities. Essentially, members can visit any participating gym based on location, hours, services, amenities, with no drop-in fees.

The location of gyms is said to grow, with the following listed as current participants:

  • VRC Fitness (Abbotsford)
  • Fitness 2000 (Burnaby)
  • Total Body Fitness (Chilliwack)
  • Fitness Challenge (Langley)
  • Revolution MMA (Langley)
  • Throwback Fitness (Mission)
  • Genesis Athletic Club (North Vancouver)
  • Ultimate Fitness (Port Moody)
  • Richmond Sport and Fitness (Richmond)
  • Cloverdale Premium Fitness (Surrey)
  • Spartacus (Vancouver)

“We are the only company in North America offering an Uber-style gym membership and we’ll be aggressively penetrating the $30 Billion North American Gym, Health and Fitness Club industry. We are positioned for rapid growth because like Uber who provides an on-demand taxi service but don’t own any taxis, our company provides a gym membership without owning any gyms. Their success is due in part to the ability to grow their network of drivers rapidly, something our company can replicate with gyms,” states Riley Abreo, President.

In addition to accessing workout equipment, extra services including personal training, and group classes will also be made available in the future.

Membership is sold online with no contract, no registration fee, or any other hidden fees.
