They say Spring is a time for new beginnings and for Nectar Yoga B&B—that couldn’t be more true.
The little slice of heaven is a serene oasis on a private property in Bowen Island. But it’s about to move to a much bigger lot on the island (over ten times the size). They’re referring to it as Nectar 2.0. It’s been a dream that will soon become a reality (just in time for Summer).
It’s outgrown the humble beginnings of Miller Road, where year after year they have been expanding with the geodesic dome, new accommodations and even a sauna.
But starting in June, they’ll be moving mid-Island to a piece of land that is a massive 20-acres. Therefore, it will give them lots of room to continue to grow. It’s full of second-growth trees, giving it a lush feel and the perfect place to escape into the wilderness and unwind.
The new and improved property is just a 10-minute drive from the main town of Snug Cove and the ferry terminal. It’s close to a lot of beautiful spots including Mt. Gardner, the Grafton Lake Lands, the Cross Island Trail and the West Side Beaches.
One of the new designs will be the Onyx Lodge, which will be the main gathering space with high ceilings and lots of windows offering natural light and a glimpse into the forest. There will be a large outdoor patio space for guests to hang out and relax.
The new cottages are: Amethyst (sleeps four, rates from $250/per night), Quartz (sleeps four, rates from $250/per night) and Jade (sleeps four, rates from $250/per night).
And there will also be some A-frame cabins: Jasper, Sunstone and Opal.
Of course, it will still be the retreat you know and love today, with lots of amazing yoga and meditation classes, as well as a hearty breakfast to get your day started on the right foot.
The geodesic yoga dome will also be a lot bigger than their current one—so start planning your next retreat here.
