The late 80’s slasher movie Child’s Play is getting a remake in Vancouver. That means.. CHUCKY! The franchise brings the horror to the 21st century with a hacked ‘buddy doll’. It’s scheduled for production in Vancouver until November 8.
Monkey Beach

Based on the 2000 novel of the same name by BC writer Eden Robinson, Monkey Beach is a Native supernatural mystery. It stars Adam Beach, Grace Dove, Nathaniel Arcand, Miika Bryce Whiskeyjack and newcomer Ta’Kaiya Blaney. It’s set in the Pacific Northwest and films in Vancouver and Kitamaat until October 12.
Sonic The Hedgehog

Sonic is hitting the big screen on November 15, 2019 with a live-action and CGI animation movie. James Marsden, Jim Carrey, Tika Sumpter, Ben Schwartz, Adam Pally, Neal McDonough and Natasha Rothewell star in the movie which is scheduled for production in town until October 15. Filming locations include Vancouver and Vancouver Island.

Shape of Water Director Guillermo del Toro was exploring Vancouver back in June and is scheduled to be back in town this Fall for his next fantasy horror flick Antlers. It’s scheduled to shoot in town from October 1 to November 20. It’s about a teacher who discovers supernatural horror and stars Jesse Plemons and Keri Russell.
