5 TV Movies Filming in Vancouver This February

Book lovers and TV movie fanatics rejoice! There’s a slew of Hallmark TV movies filming around Vancouver throughout February 2017 to give you your next dose of mystery, crime, and suspense.

A Fool and His Honey: An Aurora Teagarden Mystery (TV Movie)

Candace Cameron Bure plays Aurora in this television movie series adapted from the Aurora Teagarden Mystery books by Charlaine Harris. The first eight novels were published between 1990 and 2003 and the ninth was released in 2016. A Fool and His Honey is book #6 in the crime & mystery series but will be the fifth overall film adaptation so far. The television movie series airs on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel. Filming around town is scheduled for February 6-24, 2017 (CRBC).

 

Crowned & Moldering: A Fixer Upper Mystery (TV Movie)

Jewel Kilcher aka beloved singer-songwriter Jewel reprises her role as Shannon Hughes in Hallmark’s new movie series A Fixer Upper Mystery based on the books by Kate Carlisle. Crowned & Moldering is the second adaptation in the series.  The television movie series airs on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel. Filming around town is scheduled for February 7-25, 2017 (CRBC).

 

Garage Sale Mystery: Texting a Murder (TV Movie)

Lori Loughlin has got to be the queen of TV movies. The two-part book series (Garage Sale Stalker and Garage Sale Diamonds) by Suzi Weinert has been adapted into seven Garage Sale Mystery television movies over the last few years.   #8 Garage Sale Mystery: Drowned is scheduled to shoot from January 23 – February 10, 2017 (CRBC) and #9 Garage Sale Mystery: Texting a Murder is scheduled to shoot from February 27 – March 17, 2017 (What’sFilming). Two more in the series have already been announced or are in development.

Murder She Baked: A Strawberry Shortcake Mystery (TV Movie)

The fifth installment of the Murder She Baked television movie series stars soap opera stars Alison Sweeney and Cameron Mathison, as well as Gabriel Hogan and Barbara Niven. The series is based on the novel series by Joanne Fluke which is known for including dessert recipes. Filming around town wraps up February 6th (CRBC) and it airs on Hallmark on March 26th.

 

Untitled Menendez Brothers Project (TV Movie)

Netflix’s Making a Murder and FX’s The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story sure made crime mainstream. Not to be forgotten, the infamous Menendez brothers have been in the spotlight recently with ABC’s documentary special and NBC announcing their Law & Order: True Crime series. Following up with Who Killed JonBenet?, Lifetime is now taking on a true crime drama about the Menendez brothers. Filming around town is scheduled for February 14 – March 9, 2017 (CRBC).
