Miss BC 2011 Contestant In Focus: Mina Khtaria

The Miss B.C. Program is a annual contest that contributes to charity and community whilst enhancing the self-esteem and personal development of young women across British Columbia. It is open to all woman who believe they have what it takes to represent their province!

Judging is based on 4 categories:

  1. Personal expression in sports wear of their choosing
  2. Personal expression in an evening gown of their choosing
  3. Private Interview with the judging panel
  4. Public on-stage interview in the final showcase

Our contestant in focus happens to be one of the youngest competitors at only 20-years of age. Growing up in the small town of Port Alberni, she developed an appreciation for the environment around her. Today, she’s an advocate for sustainable practices having been involved in the Youth Climate Action Seminar. Mina Khtaria currently attends Kwantlen Polytechnic University and is completing a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology.

Mina Khtaria’s ambition is to serve as a role model for today’s youth. “Being Miss BC will give me the opportunity to motivate youth to play an active role in their community”
