You may want to avoid outdoor activities this weekend, as the weather forecast is calling for a lot of rain.

The Weather Network predicts rain everyday this week, with up to 50 mm of rain from Friday to Sunday night.

The weather channel issued a rainfall warning Thursday, saying the rain would intensify Thursday night and persist into Friday.

“During that period, we expect 60 to 80 mm of rain to fall over Howe Sound and Metro Vancouver – central and North Shore,” the warning states.

Luckily, the downpour will lighten up by Friday evening, but will still see about 10 mm. Winds will be at about 23 km/hour in the afternoon and evening, with temperatures at 9-10 degrees.

Saturday will ease up even more with just 1 mm of rain in the morning, and 2-4 mm in the afternoon.

Sunday will see rain again, with up to 8 mm until the afternoon, before we see a cloudy and dry evening. Temperatures will sit between 4-6 degrees throughout the day.

So make sure to get out your rain gear – you’ll be needing all of it.
