Social media was alive more than ever this past weekend after reports and photos of a massive, green meteor was spotted soaring through the 604’s night skies and then disappearing within a matter of seconds.
It all happened on Saturday, September 13 at 8:20pm. Hundreds if not thousands in BC were already watching the skies as reports unfolded earlier in the day that the Northern Lights were expected to appear.
One lucky watcher, Roger Ting, set up a GoPro camera to capture the Northern Lights but ended up catching the meteor instead. (See his video below) The meteor appears roughly at the 4 second mark towards the right of the screen.
