2015 marks the 20th anniversary of the McFlurry – which originated in New Brunswick, and is now found in McDonald’s restaurants around the world. To celebrate, McDonald’s will be offering a limited time The Red Velvet Oreo McFlurry available May 12 through September 1, 2015.
The Red Velvet McFlurry with Oreo cookie pieces is inspired by the flavor of a red velvet cake, a cream cheese and chocolate flavoured sauce blended together with smooth vanilla soft serve and Oreo cookie crumbs.
McDonalds also plans to utilize a new packaging that recognizes the anniversary of McFlurry – a Canadian dessert success story.
The Red Velvet Oreo McFlurry will be available in snack size and regular size.
