Langley Couple Finds A Snake In Their New Car

Snakes in your car, now that’s a scary thought..

Upon getting into his recently purchased Volvo S60 earlier this week, Ray Khan of Langley discovered a four-foot long ball python in the vehicle.

According to CTV, Khan initially tried to remove the snake with a stick but the snake refused to move. He then called Jim Pattison Volvo, the dealership he and his wife purchased the used vehicle from.

The dealership turned to Mike Hopcraft who is also known as “The Reptile Guy” in the 604. Hopcroft successfully lured the python out, making it seem easy.  He later shared details of the job on his Facebook page:

“Brought the car back to my facility and threw a space heater in it to get it nice and warm for a few hours then put a bin of three rats on the front seat. Came out within half an hour! For those who don’t know, it is a harmless little ball python.”

Khan reports the dealership was helpful in arranging assistance and offered free detailing for the issue.

Khan had bought the car ten days prior to the incident. There’s no word on how the snake got into the vehicle.
