Kitsilano Pool To Open For 2016 Season In May

While summer is still around the corner, metro Vancouver’s recent beautiful weather means residents and tourists will get to ring in some outdoor attractions earlier than usual.

Among other summer hotspots, the popular Kitsilano Pool will make its 2016 debut on Saturday, May 21. It will serve the public from 12:00 pm to 8:30pm on weekdays, and from 9:00 am to 8:30 pm on weekends. The schedule will change on June 13, and then again on July 3.

The family-friendly pool is Vancouver’s only saltwater swimming pool and is located right along Kitsilano Beach and cafes.

The heated pool is wheelchair accessible, offers three slides, and measured to be 137 metres in length, making it over double the size of an Olympic pool.

Perhaps the pool’s biggest draw is its location, being situated in front of a spectacular view that features the ocean and local mountains – a goldmine for those Instagram photos.
