Give Back To The Community At The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup

Every year, tons of people visit Vancouver’s beaches, and as a result, the beaches are left with tons of litter overtime. Thanks to the annual Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, this mess is fixed up, with the help of people like you of course!

That time of the year has arrived, as summer is slowly coming to an end, it’s time Vancouverites get together to help take part in the annual cleanup of our beautiful beaches! Though you may think, one person won’t make a difference, you’d be surprised by just how much is thrown onto our beaches, and how desperately they do need your help!

Thousands of volunteers gathered in 2011 to tackle the mess of the beaches, the stats were as follows:

  • 39, 308 bottles
  • even a few false teeth, and fully decorated Christmas trees!
