A new ferris wheel has finally been approved for the Lower Lonsdale waterfront, but we won’t likely see it come to fruition until Summer 2018.
The City of North Vancouver discussed plans for the ferris wheel last week and have slated next Summer as being the best time to launch it.

The 4-storey attraction is expected to be placed in the dining district of the area, near the end of Lonsdale Avenue.
Riders will likely be spoiled with stunning views overlooking the harbour in addition to downtown Vancouver’s skyline.

City counsellors agreed the one-year delay was necessary in order to do it right. They mentioned it was too much to do at this time due to other construction projects in the region.
A detailed budget and plans for the ferris wheel will be released in the City’s 2018 financial plan.
