Yoga for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank 2019

Travel & Outdoors

Tis the season! The holidays are upon us and Yoga Pancake has teamed up with the Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB) to host a yoga fundraiser.

Join us for an inspiring hour of yoga led by Jennifer Johnson.

All levels are welcome for this Vinyasa Flow Yoga class with an emphasis on mindfulness, balance, strength, flexibility and alignment.

The class will take place in the Willingdon Community Centre’s Multi-Purpose Room.

The minimum $20 donation for the class goes directly to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank and you will receive a tax receipt.

The goal of this yoga fundraiser is to reach $1,000. Even if you cannot attend this class, we encourage you to donate.

For every $1 donated, the Greater Vancouver Food Bank can purchase around $3 of healthy, nutritious food for people in need in Burnaby, Vancouver, the North Shore, and New Westminster.

What to Bring:

  • An open mind and loving heart
  • Yoga mat
  • Water bottle
  • Light blanket or sweater, as the space we’re in can sometimes be a bit chilly

Instructor Jennifer Johnson is the founder and lead instructor at Yoga Pancake.

For over 10 years, Jennifer has practiced yoga to realize its life-enhancing benefits of reduced stress while increasing personal flexibility, strength, and spirit.

She completed the 200 Hour Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training Course in Rishikesh, India, (the yoga capital of the world). She has taught yoga in Cambodia and Vancouver.

Due to high demand and limited space, register online through GVFB.

Or you can do yoga with cats, as Cat Yoga & Meowditation at the Catfe is offering more dates soon.
