Word Vancouver’s Reading & Writing Festival, Western Canada’s largest free literary festival, is celebrating its 30th year.

Our guest Indigenous curator is Michelle Cyca and our guest 2SLGBTQIA+ curator is Jen Currin. Over 45 artisans and exhibitors have already signed on to share their work on the big day.

What to Expect

Our official booksellers this year will be Cross & Crows Books. With over 40 events at the festival this year there is sure to be something for everyone.

There are fiction, non-fiction, writing craft workshops, poetry, the Poetry Bus, a silent auction, and a silent writing room. Some of the highlights include panel discussions on climate change, decolonizing the media, a whimsical discussion of romance on the page and on-screen, and a conversation with famed jazz musician Nikita Carter.

Come on down and enjoy this celebration of reading and writing.

No tickets are needed!
