
The White Rock Moon Festival, a free, family-friendly event, is taking place this September with fun for everyone to enjoy.
On Friday, September 13th and Saturday, September 14th, attendees will experience a creative cultural celebration at the White Rock Pier.
The festivities kick off with young musicians showcasing their jazz talents and welcomes to meet up jazz jam lovers. On Friday evening, the Opening Ceremony features a live and high profile orchestra concert, followed by a full presentation of brass fanfare, group drum performance, chorus singing and dance.
Saturday is Multicultural Day and there will be a lineup of dance and musical performances by community groups in store. Not to mention, guest Warrior Monks Martial art performers from China’s renown Shaolin Temple will also be performing.
Other activities in store include:
- Outdoor lantern installations
- Illuminated festival decorations on the pier and in the park
- Lantern making
- Sampling of moon cakes and delicious food
Capping off the White Rock Moon Festival is a magnificent fireworks show at night.
Activities will run from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Friday and 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
