The Westward Music Festival has announced it will be returning this fall, marking the first event of its kind in nearly two years. The multi-venue festival celebrates both local and international music, and is scheduled to takeover multiple venues over a six day period from September 8 through the 13th.
This announcement comes weeks after Eric Church announced Vancouver’s first concert of 2021, taking place at Rogers Arena in October.
About the Festival
The Westward Music Festival has been around since 2017 and has entertained the city every September. Its mandate has been to celebrate Canadian acts at local venues. It has gained support by both Music BC and Creative BC.
So far the following venues have confirmed the will be participating in the Westward Music Festival this year:
- Vogue Theatre
- Biltmore Cabaret
- Fox Cabaret
Musical acts that have been lined-up so far include:
- Brice Vine
- Night Lovell
- Haviah Mighty
- Deante Hitchcock
- French 79
- Sylo Nozra
- Balming Tiger
- Chris Larocca
- Ferris & Sylvester
- YSN Fab
- Madison Olds
- Noble Son
- Angel T33th
Tickets will be available online on April 30, 201. If a show needs to be rescheduled, tickets will be honoured for the new date, and in the case of cancellations, ticket holders will receive a message on how to proceed with credits or refunds.
