Art of Lights has encountered an unexpected technical issue and their grand opening has been delayed until Wednesday, October 31st, 2018.
There’s a new lantern festival coming to Metro Vancouver to light up your holiday season.
The “Art of Lights” Vancouver International Lantern Festival will take over the Cloverdale Millennium Amphitheatre Park from Friday, October 19th – Sunday, January 6th, 2019.
Hosted by the Canadian Sichuan Chamber of Commerce, the festival is described as a “large-scale cultural event”.
Organizers are also calling this festival the biggest light event in Surrey.
Online renderings give you a glimpse of what to expect at the festival.
The festival’s online schedule highlights a number of themed celebrations that’s in store for visitors.
This includes a “magical photography night”, a “Halloween music costume night”, “remembrance night”, a “Christmas party night”, a “Boxing Day celebration and a “New Year’s Eve celebration”.
The Vancouver International Lantern Festival is more than just a display of glorious lamp groups. It’ll also have wonderful performances, such as acrobatics, face changing, and tea art, as well as traditional crafts and food tasting.
Admission is $22.95 for adults, $14.95 for children & seniors (3-12, 65+) and $79.95 for any group of 5.
Season and special event tickets are also available for purchase.
