In celebration of the Lunar New Year, discover a whole new sound with the highly acclaimed PEP (Piano and Erhu Project).
This is the group’s first house concerts to feature a traditional Chinese instrument – Erhu! You will enjoy great music up close over a glass of wine, with 25 other music lovers.
Erhu virtuoso Nicole Ge Li will be performing alongside pianist Corey Hamm – a renown performer and a professor at the UBC School of Music.
His CD “The People United Will Never Be Defeated!” won Spotify’s Best Classical Recording 2014.

Ge Li and Hamm began PEP in 2011 to explore the fascinating blend of these two iconic Eastern and Western instruments.
The blend is not only a tonal and musical one, but also cultural.
Ge Li and Hamm will present a beautiful program, combining original works commissioned for PEP, as well as some classics from both West and East.
They will be giving this performance twice – with one show at UBC and the other at Ocean Park in South Surrey.
