To celebrate harbour seals, sea lions and fur seals, the Vancouver Aquarium is inviting you to a special 19+ party this spring.
The Pints, Pinnipeds and Rescue Stories After Hours event will take place at the Vancouver Aquarium on Saturday, May 4th, 2019.
Attendees will learn about these fascinating animals and their incredible rescue and rehabilitation stories through never-seen-before programs, all with a drink in hand.

Not to mention, in a first for an After Hours event, head veterinarian Dr. Martin Haulena will share stories from the field. He’ll talk about rescuing and rehabilitating seals suffering from gunshot wounds, disentangling sea lions from marine debris, and more.
With the help of special programs, guests will also learn about the rescue stories of endangered Green sea turtle Schoona, blind Calfornia sea lion Señor Cinco, and Northern resident killer whale Springer, who was once separated from her pod, but now reunited and thriving.
The following ocean-minded breweries, cideries and wineries will be providing drinks:
- Arterra Wines
- Moosehead Breweries Limited
- Phillips Brewing & Malting Co.
- Spinnakers Gastro Brewpub
- Tofino Brewing Co.
- Whistler Brewing Co.
Tickets for the Pints, Pinnipeds and Rescue Stories After Hours event are now available online. They are $36 for members and $45 for non-members.
A portion of the proceeds from each ticket go to the Vancouver Aquarium’s Marine Mammal Rescue Centre. They rescue, rehabilitate and release more than 150 sick, injured or orphaned marine mammals each year.
