Spring is fast approaching and the UBC Indian Students Association is excited to take part in the celebrations with you.
UBC Holi 2017 is back again for more fun and activities on Saturday, March 18th, 2017.
From 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., join fellow festivalgoers in celebrating the Hindu spring festival that signifies the victory of good over evil.
It takes place at the Parking Lot opposite the Forestry Building in what is expected to be quite the scene.
In addition, expect to wear all white and get ready to dance in a plethora of colours.
You can purchase colour packets on site with cash. One regular packet is $5 and two regular packets are $8. As well, you can purchase an extra-large packet for $10.
Once again, highly acclaimed music producer DJ Khanvict of Decibel Entertainment is spinning tracks throughout the entire day.
The event will also have delicious food and treats for you to discover all the amazing flavours and tastes of the Indian culture.
Last year, more than a thousand people attended the festival and the same is expected this time around.
General admission is free. Tickets for the official after party at the UBC Pit Pub are $25 (this allows you to skip the line and get a whiskey cocktail upon entry).
